AI & client communication
How routine enquiries, replies, reminders, and human judgment work together.
How does the AI communicate with my clients?
The AI assistant communicates through your business text number. It can respond to routine enquiries, answer common questions, guide clients toward booking, and send confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups. Clients use normal text messages, so they do not need to install an app.
What kinds of messages can the AI handle?
It is designed for routine business communication: new-client enquiries, service and availability questions, booking follow-up, appointment reminders, invoice reminders, and common next steps. Urgent pet-health or safety situations should always be handled directly by a person or veterinary professional.
Will the messages sound like my business?
Your services, prices, availability, policies, and business details provide the practical context clients need. Keep that information current so automated replies stay useful and consistent with how you operate.
Can I see my client conversations?
Yes. Business conversations are organized in one messaging area instead of being scattered across personal texts and separate tools.
Does the AI replace me when a client needs personal help?
No. The goal is to remove repetitive admin, not the personal relationship clients have with you. Use automation for routine questions and follow-up, while you handle sensitive, unusual, or care-specific conversations.
Can the AI respond outside business hours?
Automated replies and follow-ups can keep routine enquiries moving when you are walking dogs, grooming, visiting a client, or away from your phone. The exact automations available depend on your plan and current product settings.
Booking, scheduling & calendars
Direct booking, calendar expectations, availability, and marketplace use.
What does commission-free booking mean?
Pet Professionals does not take a percentage of each booking. You pay a flat monthly subscription and keep the booking revenue you earn. If you use a third-party payment provider, that provider may still charge its own payment-processing fee.
Can my clients book without downloading an app?
Yes. Clients can use your branded booking link to request services and pay without downloading another app or creating a marketplace profile.
Can I integrate my Google Calendar?
Pet Professionals includes its own calendar and scheduling tools. A public two-way Google Calendar integration is not currently documented on the website, so confirm current availability with support before relying on Google Calendar sync for your workflow.
How does Pet Professionals help prevent double-booking?
Your bookings and schedule live in one calendar, making it easier to see walks, visits, grooming appointments, daycare, boarding, and overnight stays together. Keep your availability and scheduling rules updated so clients only request times that fit your business.
Can I set different services, prices, and rules?
Yes. You can define your services, pricing, availability, policies, surcharges, discounts, and scheduling rules. Advanced pricing and scheduling options vary by plan.
Can I keep using Rover or another marketplace?
Yes. You can keep a marketplace as a discovery channel while using Pet Professionals for direct and repeat clients. Pet Professionals does not promise to find new clients; it gives you a booking page and business tools for relationships you manage.
Payments, invoices & security
Payment methods, commission, processor fees, policies, and data handling.
Is my payment data secure?
Pet Professionals supports secure payment workflows and lets clients pay you directly using supported payment methods. Sensitive payment details are handled through the payment provider or payment link you use rather than ordinary text messages. For processor-specific security, storage, or compliance details, review the Privacy Policy or contact support before connecting an account.
Which payment methods can I accept?
You can share the payment methods and links your business accepts, including options such as Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, and Stripe. Available methods may depend on your account setup and location.
Does zero commission mean there are no payment fees?
Zero commission means Pet Professionals does not take a percentage of your booking. A bank, wallet, or payment processor may charge its own transaction fee under its separate terms.
Can Pet Professionals send invoices and payment reminders?
Yes. You can create invoices, track payment status, and follow up without managing a separate spreadsheet. Automated reminders and payment-link features depend on your plan; some SMS payment features are marked as coming soon.
Who controls refunds, cancellations, and deposits?
You set the services, prices, and booking policies shown to clients. Refunds, cancellations, deposits, and disputes should follow your published policy and the rules of the payment provider you use.
Setup, pricing & support
Who the platform is for, migration help, pricing, trials, and support.
Who is Pet Professionals for?
Pet Professionals is for independent pet sitters, dog walkers, groomers, trainers, boarders, and other pet-care professionals who want one place to manage clients, pets, bookings, schedules, messages, invoices, and payments.
How long does setup take?
You can start by adding your business details, services, prices, availability, and policies. The current site describes account creation as taking minutes, with hands-on support available for setup and migration.
Can you help me move from Rover or another tool?
Yes. Pet Professionals offers hands-on migration help for reviews, photos, and client history so you do not have to rebuild your business presence from zero.
What does Pet Professionals cost?
The current plans are Starter at $19 per month, Pro at $49 per month, and Premium at $79 per month. All plans use flat monthly pricing rather than a marketplace commission. Plan features can change, so check the homepage pricing section before choosing.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. The current offer is a 30-day free trial with no credit card required, and you can cancel at any time.
What happens if I need help?
Real-person support is available for setup and migration. Premium also includes priority support and early access to new features.
